I feel I must apologise publicly for my prolonged absence. I can at least assure my readers –and do feel free to pass this on to any who you feel should know– that I've been doing wonderfully, having a grand adventure: at times glorious, at others melancholy, but I would not trade these escapades for the world. Having been lucky enough, so far, to stave off the expiry of my meter –and to keep my garden from becoming completely overgrown– I have been compelled to drastically curtail my time in Caledon otherwise. Regrettably, I cannot say when another substantive piece of news will be available from

Hehe, the frocks fund. The thing is that I don't have many Photoshop skills yet, to translate designs into Linden shapes, nor many ideas for new designs. Did I tell you I spent nearly an entire 512-mainland-sale, i.e. a bit more than $3000, the day I went exploring in the tunnels under Silent Sparrow? Probably foolish, but I am now outfitted for the next few seasons! (= I usually wear any given new frock for a week or two of logging in, until I tire of it, and then once I've run through them, I mix and match them, so they should now last me well into the spring. It's not something that can become a regular occurence of course, given my finances, but boy was it fun.

Though, I also think that my income has increased just slightly since the New Search, which I hope is not merely a fluke. If I can make it in-world for any length of time this coming week, I expect to show some of those Alice in Wonderland illustration-reproductions at Mr Whittlesea's Commons in Eyre.

Speaking of which story, do tune in to Radio Riel (music.radioriel.org) or come down to the station in Penzance one of these evenings, if you can. They're playing an audiobook of Alice, and hearing it read aloud, with pacing and voices, has made a lot of the material fresh again for me. Having read so much of it so often over so long, I had forgotten how ridiculous some of the conversations really do sound!

A Quick Note

I've no time to write a long update, but the short of it is that a fault has arisen in my ætheric message sending device. This, coupled with my upcoming week of travelling, means that I am likely to remain out of communication range for most of the upcoming week. I shall stop into telegraph offices when I can, however, as my mail will be forwarded in that fashion.

That said, I do want to mention that the outward reaches of The Excavation at the cabin have been completed, though I haven't dared lay out my uncopiable sound-makers. And Wellesian has arisen to my Eastern view, though it hasn't fully been formed yet. And I put a few pieces of art and a tiny building on the (ætherial) market. I even took the chance to visit a handful of neighbours this weekend in Stormhold! Oh!, and I put my name in the hat for A Debut this season (about which I feel ambivalently excited).

I do wish I'd had more time to participate in this week's monthly Treasure Quest Hunt rigmarole, but one can't have everything. At least the cabin now offers more water to refresh passing horses and their riders.
